airbnb daydreams << adventure >>

Thank Crunchie it’s Friday, hey folks? I don’t know about you, but I’ve had a fairly crappy week. I’ve woken up in a grump most days. I’ve come dangerously close to wielding scissors in front of the mirror in an effort to bring my bangs back (that I’ve been growing out for a year now – must resist the urge to undo all of that). I’ve sulked about the silliest of things. I’ve broken crockery through being clumsy. I’ve lost my favourite hat (the finest knitting I ever did). I’ve managed not to do a big pile of work that I promised myself I would at least make a start on this week (accounts – joy). And I’ve just not been myself. It’s rubbish. So I thought I’d start today with something to make me smile. I’ve been looking at where to stay when we head over to New York in March. We’ve decided we will most likely rent through Airbnb. I’ve found several places that look absolutely perfect – the right neighbourhood, the right price, the right size, the right style – in fact the main concern I have is that some of them are so gorgeous I might not ever want to come back home. But worse than that…. I’ve also fallen into the Airbnb daydreaming trap. I’m house shopping with a limitless budget and no locational restrictions. It’s dangerous. But oh my is it fun! (And yes – this is exactly why I’m not getting much work done – eek). It all started with Airbnb’s own wishlist offerings. There are suggestions of awesome places to stay that are airstream trailers (I love ’em), trains and treehouses. But delve further and there are, quite frankly, some of the most amazing spaces out there. My hed is full of wild and wonderful holiday ideas. Anyway, there are some awesome places worth taking a peek at on my eclectic wish-list.

COMMENTs:

  1. I love airbnb, not travelled with them yet but found an awesome tree house in San Francisco that is top of my wish list. Looks like you found some really fun quirky places, love it!

  2. That old / vintage leather sofa looks a treat in that room – classic old building coming-up good with all that lovely looking retro and vintage furniture!
