bridal prep << chit chat >>
One of the key features for me in yesterday’s wonderful multicultural wedding was the importance of the two very different looks. Ayshea wanted to show both sides of herself – the traditional Indian heritage and the contemporary young woman about London. She started the day with a white dress, loose curls and an understated, vintage look with a pop of colour at the lips. For the evening, she switched to a look inspired by a vintage Bollywood film – glamorous smokey eyes to balance the incredible bling of her traditional head dress and jewellery. Both looks absolutely knock out. Big high five to the very talented Lauren Sally for bringing both to life and for being a bloody good giggle while she worked.
Bridal prep is actually one of my favourite parts of the day. I just love the atmosphere. The nerves and the excitement. And the pampering. Who doesn’t love a good bit of pampering. It always makes me smile seeing the bride and her nearest and dearest girlies sharing that special morning together. And seeing some pretty awesome transformations at times too. I sometimes arrive to toweling robes, wet hair and bare faces but by the time we leave the room it’s all porcelain skin, killer lashes and immaculately coiffed locks. Here are some more of my fave bridal prep shots from last year. A range of classic, vintage and contemporary looks that I hope will inspire you.If you’re looking for hair & make-up people, I can whole heartedly recommend:
