The Inevitable Royal Wedding Post << chit chat >>

Yes, I am the other side of the world pretty much, with a seven hour time difference, but I was online watching the wedding today just like everybody else I knew back home. Of course I was. I had to see the frock. The flowers. The romance. And boy was there plenty of that. Kate Middleton made it look like being a bride is the easiest thing in the world. She oozed grace, calm and above all happiness. Wills looked pretty darned pleased with himself too. And who wouldn’t with such a stunning bride? He told her that she looked beautiful when she arrived at his side. Aww, yay! True love. That’s what I want to see at weddings. Forget the pomp and the ceremony, what made this state wedding special was that two loved up people tied the knot for all the right reasons and did not hold back in showing their feelings to the whole world, or at least the huge portion of the world that was watching. I am personally chuffed to bits for them and wish them every happiness in their future together. Of course, the same applies to every couple who got married today, and to those getting married in future, to those already married, and even to those who aren’t getting married at all. I love weddings, I really do, but more than anything else I love romance. I’ll raise my glass to good old fashioned love, smooches, smiles and a twinkle in the eyes, any day. To the happy couple…
