Spring Is In The Air << chit chat >>

How amazing was yesterday? It really felt like spring was in the air. In fact, this whole week has been pretty awesome in that respect. Valentines Day always seems like the start of spring to me, even though we often have frost and snow well into March round these parts. It’s the slightly longer days and the spring bulbs popping up everywhere. I just love it. Plus, this year V/Day was especially fab for me as I received loads of exciting deliveries (not all from admirers, I hasten to add). First up, my G-PLAN sideboard which now sits pride of place in the living room. Oh I LOVE it. On top of that, the red roses sent by my love (bless him – he also made me a delicious meal involving a scallops, chorizo & asparagus starter followed by monkfish tail – nom nom nom). Plus, not one but two (!) fabulous new lenses that I ordered last week arrived. I am so utterly enthralled with them. Cannot wait to use them at my first wedding of the year in a couple of weeks. They’re GORGEOUS. And yes, I have been putting them to some serious use already!

Yesterday was the springy-est (?) of days though and has put me in such an incredibly good mood. Lovely grumpy mule coffee to start followed by an adventure in our local area (the joy of living on the edge of the Peak District) with Murphy while Damian was off playing football. The light was amazing and it was so WARM. I could have stayed out all day. Murphy wouldn’t have minded, I’m sure. He had a jolly romp over the moors and loved every minute of it. Even socialising with a few local beasts – the hairy coos were my favourite.
