It’s that time of year. We’re being bombarded with adverts for flowers and chocolates and perfume and cards (bloody Satellite Swine – sod off). There are special romantic menus popping up here, there and everywhere. St Valentine’s is almost upon us. Now I’m not really one for Hallmark Holidays but any excuse to give a card to my boy to remind him how I feel works well for me. Sometimes I make them – but this year I decided to support one of the many talented peeps out there selling their hand crafted goodies on the intermaweb. I have to be careful when it comes to sites like Etsy and Not On The High Street. There are too many petty things and I have too little money (and a distinct lack of space plus a boyfriend who hates my “clutter” as he calls it). But when you need something cute to remind your other half that he’s the bees knees, well, I’d rather buy from a UK crafter than anywhere else. I wont share the card I opted for..but I did think I’d mention some of my fave stores that I’ve come across in recent months. If you still need a card (or fancy treating yourself to a print or something else lovely) it’s well worth taking a look! Several of these guys also do awesome wedding stationery. Just saying… I’ve included a couple of American crafters that I love too, by the way, they’re not all in the UK but I tend to shop locally myself.

Another GORGEOUS lady with mad skills in the paper craft department (available on the above sites but also with her own ace-cakes website covering not just her products but her design services too) is Veronica Dearly. I met her at the Blogcademy workshop I did last year and I have to say, her stuff is bloody brilliant. I’ve been lusting after her art prints ever since I met her. With lots of quirky designs available as prints, cards & mugs…she also does an awesome range of year planners and such like. She’s awesome. Check her out!!! Veronica does some wicked wedding stationery and can design something bespoke for you too. I think I want her to design my life!
