I remember very clearly the August day that my sister arrived unannounced at my flat with “something to tell everyone”. It was a big deal. She lived hundreds of miles away. What on earth could be that important? Well…she had just found out that she was pregnant. Expecting her first child. To say that I was thrilled for her (and hubbie Ian) would be an understatement. And it comes nothing close to how chuffed I was about becoming an auntie. Hee!

Lucas Joseph arrived the following April, as babies do. I didn’t get to meet him until the June. He was huge already. And he instantly won my heart with his eager smile, his bright eyes and his cute little grabby hands. Needless to say, I think he’s the best thing since sliced bread. Yes I am biased. And no I don’t care. Here he is, anyway…
