Travel in Nepal << adventure >>

I mentioned in my tattoo post that the artwork I have commissioned for my arm is inspired by photographs I took on my recent (and soon to be continued) travels in Asia and I thought I’d share some of my images from said travels here on the blog. I have been very fortunate to see some wonderful things this past 6 months. And it all started in Nepal. My time in Kathmandu provided a wealth of photographic opportunities. The culture, the colours, the scenery, the weather: all so very different to what I have know throughout my life here in the UK. All fascinating and often visually stunning. As a city it is grossly over crowded, suffers from severe traffic and pollution problems, often smells quite unpleasant and has high levels of homelessness including increasing numbers of street kids who head to the big city to beg and usually end up sniffing glue or worse. It’s heartbreaking and at times hard work, but rewarding in so many ways. See for yourself…
