london beer rugby rum ouch << reali life >>

I had great plans. I was going to London for a jolly with my fella. We were meeting his old uni chums to watch the rugby and have a good old catch up. I thought I took my camera with me. Figured it’d be fun to share some pics. I had great plans. Instead, it all ended up a bit messy. Saturday started with the alarm going off at my mum’s. Murphy had his trademark weekend sideways face (always makes me smile). There was juice. There was a sunny train journey. A really rather delicious brunch in Caravan. And a cheeky half at the new Clapham Craft Beer Co. All good. But then…we met up with the others. Guinness happened. Quite a lot of guinness. And then a curry. Followed by rum. Far too much rum. And the shocking discovery that one of Beyonce’s backing singers in the Single Ladies video is her male choreographer. Who knew? And then it was Sunday. And Sunday was PAINFUL. And long. And very queasy. Lunch didn’t happen and the screaming kids on the slow train back to the Midlands were agonising. It was, without question, the worst hangover I’ve had in years. In many ways, it’s for the best that the camera never left my bag after we met the others. But there’s no point in pretending my trip to London was all sunshine and smiles…
