Knipe Hall Wedding << Iona + Nick >>
I love Knipe Hall. First up, it’s in the Lake District. And the Lake District is blummin’ beautiful. Second, it’s a really pretty venue with a lovely laid back, cosy feel. Third, dogs are allowed. And I am a big fan of four legged friends at weddings, let me tell you. And fourth, awesome people get married there. Including this gorgeous pair. Meet the lovely Iona and Nick. Not only are they gorgeous and fun to spend time with, they also gave me rhubarb from their allotment and cheered me up when I met up with them in a cosy little Llangollen pub after a traumatic drive to Wales. And that gets a double thumbs up from me. Plus, they had a first look which is something I absolutely love photographing. Yay!
This wedding has so many lovely personal touches. The flowers, bunting and pinholes (literally hundreds of them) were all lovingly crafted by Iona, using something Nick is a huge fan of – maps. The table plan was a work of genius and an absolute joy to behold. The bunting was also handmade with the help of mum and Aunt Anne. There was home cooked fudge and chocolate truffles, and Iona even made her own delicious naked cake. Not to be out done, Nick had a cheese tower too and the cutting of the cake turned into a crazy cake and cheese cutting race. The day was amazing from start to finish. The sun shone and the people smiles. What more could anyone ask for, when they’ve already secured their happily ever after. Huge congratulations to Mr & Mrs Howell – you guys and your gorgeous Knipe Hall wedding ROCK.
