Pippa & Ahmad’s glamorous Lebanese fusion wedding featured a ceremony at the inimitable Asylum & Mavericks Project (aka Caroline Gardens Chapel in Peckham) with traditional Arabic music and lovely personal readings, including the story of their relationship which made everybody laugh one minute and cry the next. Pippa wore a stunning Inbal Dror gown and Ahmad opted for a sharp Hackett tux – they made one hell of a dashing couple it has to be said. After the ceremony and a few drinks at Asylum, they hopped into a vintage Fiat 500 (a surprise booked for Pippa by Ahmad) for the short trip from Peckham to their Brixton East wedding reception. And what a reception it was! It soon became apparent that they planned to party hard – especially when Ahmad’s second surprise of the night arrived – a traditional Dabke group! I had such a blast on their dance floor. From the confetti cannons to the fancy dress it was non-stop fun and I’ve never seen so many happy faces dancing all night long. Listening to the speeches, it was clear that Ahmad & Pip are much loved, not only by one another but also by their diverse group of family and friends. And it’s easy to understand why. Not only are they gorgeous humans – they also know how to throw one hell of a good party! This Asylum & Brixton East wedding was filled with smiles from start to finish and I have to say it was the most incredible wedding to end the year on.
