Bruisyard Hall Wedding << Gemma + James >>
Back in September Jen and I travelled down to Suffolk for this gorgeous Bruisyard Hall wedding. Gemma and James live in London but decided to get married in the coutryside and Bruisyard is such a fab venue – combining the grandeur of the country house accommodation with the rustic charm of the barn reception venue. And I got to have a good old play in a tumbledown farm yard. Yay for that! Their ceremony was held at the gorgeous parish church in nearby Rendham and it was an absolute treat complete with some top notch singing and seemingly ten tonnes of confetti. Back at Bruisyard, the Aussie theme reflected Gemma and James meeting whilst travelling down under and their rustic decor included local honey favours, wild hops around the bar (the smell was divine – well done Myrtle & Mint for doing such a fantastic job) and a DIY photobooth that proved to be an absolute hoot later on. With music by Emil & the Soul City Renegades, the dancefloor was a blast too. And after dark, guests enjoyed marshmallows around the fire pit and we had a little play with some smoke. It was a right good day!
