The Intermaweb << chit chat >>

The website is nearly done. Nearly. Well, I say done. I mean sort of done. Basically, I’m terribly excited about the progress and am being overly optimistic about it all. But optimism is good. I’m happy. I’m also impatient, obviously, hence my not yet completed website is getting it’s first airing already. That’s right. I’ve got pages on them there internets at long last. And not just this here blog. See those links up there (*points to the menu bar*)…they only blummin’ work. So far, my temporary homepage and a functioning but not yet fully prettified contact page are accessible. Woo! It feels good to have made that much progress. Now I just have to (a) fix the Internet Explorer problem, (b) finish off the content for the portfolio and info sections, (c) add some pretty bits and (d) sort out the SEO. Simples.

In other news, there have been some huge HUGE storms the last few days. I lay in theĀ  hammock listening to one approaching the other day. Pretty soon I was getting wet and the lightening was striking a little too close for comfort so I retreated indoors. But it was a marvelous storm hammock moment while it lasted. I wish I could share the sound of the booming thunder with you, I really do. And the exhilaration of watching the lightening forks. One evening, there was no rain at all here in Cherating, and no thunder, but the entire night sky was being lit up by regular flashes like an elaborate strobe display I the heavens. It was breathtaking. So much so that I stood outside staring directly up for a good while giving myself a crick in the neck and letting my peanut butter and forest fruits jam toastie go cold. You’ll be pleased to hear that it was still utterly delicious when I remembered it though. *nods*
