Earlier this week I had the pleasure of visiting Evelyn Taylor Bridal in Holmfirth and I’ve been daydreaming about pretty dresses ever since. I love that there is so much variety out there, and in all honesty I have no idea how any of you lovely ladies make a decision when you’re faced with so many potentially amazing options. The most important thing, obviously, is finding a dress that suits you. One that looks and feels like your perfect dress. I know from talking to my brides that it’s not always the style they thought they would go for, and sometimes it even ends up being a second dress purchase. I know that having it fit perfectly is everything. I know that not everyone dreams of a floaty white number (in fact I’m rather excited to be shooting an exciting colourful wedding dress this coming weekend) and am glad that pretty dresses come in all shapes and sizes. I do get a bit over excited about wedding outfits, I have to say. That includes the boys’ suits and the shoes too, of course. But mostly it’s the dresses. Wedding finery is just so…special. I like long dresses, short dresses, swooshy dresses, backless dresses, lace dresses, tulle dresses, corsets, sequins, petticoats, trains…. you name it, I probably like it. But enough of my gushing… Here are some of the beauties I’ve had the pleasure of photographing over the past couple of years, including a couple of vintage pieces, several bespoke gowns and quite a few designer numbers including Charlotte Balbier, Anoushka G, Justin Alexander, Lyn Ahsworth, Mori Lee & Maggie Sottero. *swoons*
