Winter Wonderland << chit chat >>

border terrier with snow in his beard

Oh what a week! It’s been a bit bonkers, in all honesty. I left home last Thursday to see an old friend (and new supplier – more on that in a couple of weeks – squee) on a lovely clear day. Next thing I know I’m London bound on a Friday morning train looking through icy windows at pure white scenery. Magical, thought I… The snow didn’t stop me enjoying a fabulous weekend in the big smoke either where the mad professor and general genius of hair magic, Elbie van Eeden, gave me a super colourful new doo using the groovy palette below.

Over the weekend I became a blogcadet and had an absolute scream with the other cadets, our photography mitress (and the lovely lady behind Photography Farm) Lisa Devlin, and of course the stylish headmistresses – Rock’n’Roll Bride herself, Kat Williams: Shauna Haider, the brains and beauty behind amazing design brand Nubby Twiglet; and the one, the only Gala Darling(total girl crush). The workshop was fab and I’ll be saying a wee bit more about it next week. The only down side was that I caught a chest infection and felt like death on a stick (very cold death at that) when I boarded my return train on Sunday evening. And then…I woke up Monday morning to hear that the roads around my village were closed. I was snowed OUT. Argh!

Thankfully I awoke today in my childhood room to beautiful blue skies and the scent of freshly ground coffee (smelling anything was a relief but my fella’s coffee brand is one of the bestest scents for sure). And the roads were clear too so I am now back home and I can confirm that my woofer was extremely pleased to see me (and I him, naturally).
