elegant the mansion wedding in leeds << siew yan + yao pey >>
October seems like such a long time ago now – but I remember this day so vividly. It was the first day that week without rain. We couldn’t believe our luck. Siew Yan and her sisters were getting ready in Siew Yan’s hotel room – a hive of activity. Yao Pey and the boys spent a more relaxed morning at home before heading to greet their guests at The Mansion. I remember the girls giggling as they piled into the fabulous love bug to make their way to Roundhay Park. And then there was the ceremony – an elegant affair followed by a traditional Chinese tea ceremony. So sweet. Everyone braved the gale force winds for some group shots and then there was calm as everybody took their seats for the wedding breakfast followed by speeches. And before I knew it, the weight of the stars made the night fall down and the party was over. The cake was cut, a dance was danced and we said goodbye with a wave of a sparkler. It was a wonderful day and one that will stay with me for a long time. Thanks to everybody who made it so special, not least Siew Yan and Yao Pey for trusting me to capture the memories for them.
