quirky wedding table plans << chit chat >>

Yesterday’s lovely penguin themed table plan got me thinking about all of the lovely creative  table plans I’ve seen over the past year. Some made to order, others a massively impressive DIY success. Here are some of my favourites.

hand drawn map in gilt frame table planRuth made this gorgeous map backed, gilt frames creation herself, hand drawing (and lettering – how lush is her handwriting) each card and adding images from the e-shoot I’d done with her and Neil earlier in the autumn. So sweet!bespoke london underground map table planJames’ love of all things on rails (and friends on the inside) led to this awesome London Underground theme for his wedding to Ayshea, with bespoke “tube tickets” with the names of the guests on each line (aka table). So clever!reclaimed gate and picture frame table planThis shabby chic number for Nicola & Dave’s big day used an old gate and a range of picture frames with lace  trim. Easy to do and really effective.pretty wishing tree table planSiew Yan & Yao Pey opted for a Manzanita tree with elegant table cards and pearl beads. Again, fairly simple but super pretty.reclaimed mirror table planRosanna & Dan used this window style mirror for their Love Fest, with 3 panels details guest positions on the trestle tables, a sweet message from their daughter Layla (i’m so happy mummy and daddy dan are getting married so i can have brothers or sisters) and cute decorations by all three of them at the top.shabby chic vintage picture frames table planClare and Alex also went with the shabby chic frame look, this time with a vintage wallpaper backdrop and lots of cute buttons (I do love buttons). Love it!stepladder hand stamped table planFor Kate & Lloyd’s woodland wedding they pinned hand stamped cards to a vintage step ladder at the entrance to the tipi. The girls were up late into the wee hours completing this labour of love, but it was well worth it. Fitted the rustic feel of the day perfectly.autumn wreath picture frame table planWhen Gem married Dey she poured her heart and soul into making it such a beautiful, unusual day. She handmade this beautiful table plan, including the autumnal wreath, with a Mid Summer Night’s Dream theme for the table names. Gorgeous, huh?bespoke hand drawn corpse bride table planBeckie & Aaron had an awesome Corpse Bride inspired day and this bespoke table plan blew me away. I think I want that pretty embellishment as a tattoo at some point!!!love birds bespoke mirror table planBeth & Ryan had this elegant vintage frame table plan made for them by Our Wedding Dreams to tie in with the gorgeous colours of the room and their amazing birdcage cake.rustic chalk board and twig table planLiz and Jamie hosted wedfest 2013 and decorated their tipis with loads of awesome handmade treats including this super cute twig and chalk board table plan. Simple, yes. Amazing, also. Hurrah!heart wire frame table planBoth Helen & Woody and Jackie & Jas opted for this sweet wire heart frame to hold their table plan cards. I love the idea of re-using it after the wedding to hold prints of some of your favourite wedding photies. arty mirror table planBee & Lee kept things simple and elegant for their table plan, using an old mirror to display the table cards. Across from this stood another easel, this time one of their own splattered with years of oil paints, displaying a collage of photos of the pair of them from childhood up to their engagement. Such a lovely idea.shabby chic vintage frame table planBecca & John had this lovely shabby chic inspired plan made for them by the lovely ladies at The Wedding Room in Nottingham where Becca’s gorgeous Charlotte Balbier dress also came from. Hurrah!pin board horse shoes table planFinally Beckie and Ross used a lovely old pin board for their elegant plan – I love the addition of the just married horse shoe in the top corner.
