quirky corpse bride wedding at the belfry << beckie + aaron >>
I always find it fascinating hearing how people have found me and what makes them pick me as their wedding photographer. With this awesome couple, it was fate apparently. The first time I ever exhibited at a wedding fair, my stall was set up immediately under a group RAF portrait featuring Beckie’s grandfather. Beckie and Aaron were newly engaged but without a date or venue fixed. They popped along to the wedding fair mainly because it afforded them the rare opportunity of seeing this portrait. And there in front of it was little old me. With my 1960s frock and mustard tights, tattoos well and truly on display and a table full of pretty pictures. Happy day! And over a year later I trundled along to The Belfry in the very same frock with even more ink on display to photograph an alternative couple rocking the heck out of wedding traditions for their intimate ceremony and sun kissed reception. Beckie had kept her gorgeous gown a secret and seeing her big reveal to the bridesmaids made me tear up. A truly stunning bride. And Aaron didn’t scrub up too badly either with his awesome eight ball cane! I had a top day and am so thrilled that our paths crossed on that fateful November day at the Nottingham Council House wedding fare!
