monkton barn céilidh << lucy + simon >>
Slight break in blogging service yesterday – it was my birthday so I spent the day with my mummy, shopping and eating fine food, as I do pretty much every year. A day off in the sunshine with my favourite lady. Awesome. Plus Damian came down to Nottingham to join us for dinner at World Service so that was especially lovely. A taster of creamed brocolli soup with stilton twists, smoked mackarel dumpling with caviar and a beetroot consomme followed by roast guinea fowl and topped off wit a pear tarte tatin. Nommers! I’m taking today as a bit of a holiday too. Mummy and I will be settling down to a Grey’s Anatomy marathon. We have the second half (roughly) of season 9 to get through. There will be chocolate consumption and tears. There will also be a break for cheese on toast. It’s going to be a good day. *nods*
Before I do that, though, I thought I’d share this lovely little wedding from September. Lucy and Simon combined a fun church service with some of the most joyous singing I have ever heard, with a bubbly and cupcake reception in the church hall, followed by a trip to their hotel where we shot some couple portraits, before heading to their evening reception at the lovely Monkton Barn in Marlow. Full of super cute details (Lucy went to town) including the awesome tea towel wedding favours, the evening do featured a ceilidh plus a rock band and everyone danced the night away with a smile on their face. A joy to be a part of from start to finish. Thanks so much for having me along for the day to witness the start of your married life together – and here’s to your lovely little family to come guys!!!
