newton hall beach wedding preview << lisa + dave >>
Apologies for the radio silence. I spent last week up in the north east, visiting family and shooting a rather fabulous wedding. Back to normal service this week though. And to start things rolling – let’s take a look at that wedding, shall we? It was a corker. Think a stunning lace Justin Alexander gown and burgundy suits for the boys. Picture a spring bouquet adorned with a locket holding a photo of Lisa’s dad who passed away. Imagine gorgeous vintage styling featuring carriage clocks and tea cups, an amazing sweet table, balloons and masses of personal details such as the memory wardrobe (filed with photos of the happy couple over the years, their nearest and dearest and, of course, absent friends and family). Yep. Gorgeous. For me it was a day filled with laughter, starting with Lisa and her girlies in the morning and ending with some awesome shapes being pulled on the dance floor. And the sun came out in full force so we took a wee jaunt to the beach which was an obvious highlight. My first time shooting couple portraits away from the venue and I have to say it was well worth taking the time out for. Lisa and Dave got to spend some quality time together enjoying strawberries and champagne in the sunshine on a near deserted stretch of beautiful Northumberland coastline just a few minutes from Newton Hall. Perfection. Take a look.
