It’s been an intense wee while for me recently. I broke up with Ben a short while ago. And I don’t mind telling you, it wasn’t an easy decision to make or a pleasant experience. But I do believe it was the right thing to do, that we were going in very separate directions with our lives, and that we are both going to be happier in the long run apart. He has been such an important part of my life for quite some time now though, and was the driving force behind my decision to pursue a career in photography. We shared some fantastic experiences together, there’s no doubt. Plus, he created my website for me (which means I’ve no idea when or indeed how it will get finished now…but that I can worry about later). But it is time to move on. It is always sad when a relationship comes to an end. But at the same time it feels good to be independent again, taking charge of my own destiny and focusing on myself. Here’s to the future!

I’ve been kind of sulky for a while now after the split but this week I had the perfect reason to venture out of the house and get on with my new life. I had a newborn shoot to attend to. Lovely little Nina is the fourth child of an old school friend of mine. She is such a cutiepie at nine days old and really made me giggle…she was wide awake throughout the shoot though so we didn’t really get the posed sleepy shots that my friend had hoped for sadly. But fingers crossed some of these piccies should still result in a few smiles. I’ll be visiting them again before too long to do a family shoot too which is fab news. They really are the most beautiful family. Inside and out. And they always make me feel so special when I go visit them. Yay for lovely people. And happy families. Love you guys!
