Laid back Lincolnshire Campsite Wedding Preview << Sarah + Adam >>

If there’s one type of wedding I love above all else, it’s a really relaxed, laid back day with a  focus on spending quality time with family & friends and having an absolute blast. For Adam and Sarah, that meant creating a family fun day at a secluded campsite. It meant spending their first few days as a married couple in their luxurious bell tent with son Samuel and relatives from near and far. It meant great food to nibble on throughout the day, with no formal sit down meal or table plan. It meant a charity bar (cheap drinks, proceeds going to help friends attending the wedding who do incredible charity work in Uganda). It meant a bouncy castle and an ice cream van (I loved Betsy). It meant home made cakes, Liberty print bridesmaid dresses (made by mum and absolutely gorgeous), hand tied flowers (again done themselves) and super cute home made decorations (I blummin’ love the pom pom bunting). It meant a beautiful vintage dress, lego boutonnieres and rings forged by the father of the bride. And above all else, it meant inviting special people to share in the joy of the day. The weather was wonderful, the campsite a hidden gem and the overall feel of the day – utterly laid back and lovely. I laughed so much my cheeks ached, I discovered that bouncy castles are ridiculously exhausting when you’re a grown up, and I fell head over heels in love with some particularly cute children. What a day this campsite wedding proved to be. Huge thanks to everybody for making it so special and big round of applause to everybody who survived the bouncy castle (including my assistant Jen – she’s just a big kid at heart). Enjoy the rest of your mini-moon and I’ll catch up with you when I’m back form Glastonbury next week!
