mid summer night’s dream << gem + dey >>
When Gem first got in touch with me, I remember feeling a distinct tingle in my spine. I was recommended to her by an old friend met through flickr back when 365 projects were my main creative outlet and admin the vast majority of my day job. That recommendation in itself made me smile, because it reminded me of teaching myself the tricks of my trade, finding inspiration through friendship and vice versa. I digress. Sentimentality aside, it was Gemma herself who made me grin from ear to ear. When she described her plans for this wedding, it filled me with glee. Gem has such vision and a great way of writing. She’s a lifestyle blogger and talented photographer herself. Her eye for detail and editorial style are just incredible. You should definitely check out From Gem With Love. So inspiring! But back to the wedding… The gorgeous, autumnal wedding filled with joy and beauty. I could say so much, but instead I’m going to let the images do the talking. I will just point out a couple of my favourite details though – the flowers displayed in bottle of Dey’s favourite tipple and jam jars dipped in glitter on wooden mats that they cut themselves, the photos of Gem’s grandpas that she fixed to her bouquet and the baby blue heart sewn into her dress, and the giant balloons. I bloody loved those balloons! Enjoy…
