feeling it << real life >>
Well the week is almost over and I am very happy to report that I am feeling MUCH better. Turns out penicillin gives me horrible mouth sores and chronic indigestion, but those ailments make me feel human again so I am fine with that. It’s a relief to be able to swallow again, and to have something of an appetite back. Hurrah! The hound is happy that I’m active again too as it has meant he’s had a couple of trips to the park (he thinks anything beyond our garden is the park, bless him, but this week we’veĀ been walking in our local hills which are moorland on the edge of the Peak District National Park so the phrase go park at least makes some sense in that context). And I’ve had some fab new bookings through this week which have cheered me up no end – a return to the lovely Knipe Hall and a jaunt down to the lovely Gaynes Park in July and looks like I’ll be taking a trip to Tuscany in June which is super exciting (and combined with my trip to shoot a wedding on the beautiful Mosel River in Germany in May is making me feel like a globe trotting destination photographer of sorts). Hurrah!
In addition to the fresh air and fun wedding anticipation, my week has involved a whole lot of snoozing on the sofa while the drugs kicked in, watching some of my fave films: Wes Anderson’s finest no less. I managed to squeeze in Fantastic Mr Fox, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou and Moonrise Kingdom. I am so flipping excited to see the new release, The Grand Budapest Hotel, hitting our cinema screens in a few weeks I believe. Woo! Check out the trailer…
And if that wasn’t enough to cheer me up – there has also been the anticipation of awesomeness to come this weekend. My little sis and I are heading down to London for a couple of days girlie time. There will be food, there will be craft beer (in moderation) and there will be INK. We are both booked in to be tattooed by the inimitable Rebecca Vincent at The Circle studio in Soho. Can’t bloody wait. Have been looking forward to this for such a long time. Below you will see some of her gorgeous work and a hint of the inspiration behind mine (found on pinterest with no link to the original artists in either case – if anyone knows please let me know). I’m bursting to see the design she comes up with. This post was brought to you by Neil Young : Harvest
