ecclectic & fun diy wedding at the priory house << clare + alex >>
You know how sometimes you meet someone, or a couple say, and it just feels like you’ve know them forever? Well that’s how it was when I met Clare and Alex at a wedding fair back in 2012. We just clicked. So it came as no surprise when their wedding turned out to be just my cup of tea – loaded with lovingly crafted DIY details and hosted in an utterly bonkers venue. The Priory House at Long Bennington is the home of a fashion designer and a sculptor with a passion for collecting all sorts of crazy awesomeness. The rooms, passageways and even garden are filled with all manner of eccentric goodness. Everywhere you look, something new and utterly wonderful catches your eye. I was in heaven. And not only that… Clare and Alex also filled the house and gardens with wonderful people – their gorgeous friends and family who treated me as one of their own from start to finish. Talk about love and laughter – there was no escaping it. There was Nottingham Forest paraphernalia and a cake table to die for, there was dress twirling and there was blue wkd. What more could anybody wish for? Hugs and kisses to everybody who made it a fab day, including my lovely second shooter Kate. Here’s a glimpse of the fun that was had.
