OMG this venue! It’s incredible. Absolutely incredible. This wonderful, tumbledown chapel (which goes by the name of Asylum but is actually the Caroline Gardens Chapel in Peckham) is absolutely magical. I am completely in love with it. I mean, I already knew I loved it before I shot there – but now that I have done, I’ve moved beyond a school girl crush into full on infatuation. I’m already chomping at the bit to get back there (roll on February). Just look at it. Those crumbling walls and the beautiful light. I love it! But that’s not the only thing I loved about Saturday’s wedding. Hell no. There was also the cute car, the amazing Fur Coat No Knickers dress, the super cute Charlotte Mills shoes and the pretty flourishes provided by Gwenda at Vintage Floral Design Co. Not to mention the crazy fun photobooth antics and the fact that Sarah is smoking hott (big ups to Anneke at Retromophosist for her awesome hair and make up skills) and James loves her to blummin’ bits and isn’t afraid to cry in front of everyone because of it. And did I mention that in that magical chapel we all sang “How Sweet It Is To Be Loved By You” and that the first dance was to Starship’s “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now”. Bloody amazing wedding, start to finish. Thanks to the folks at The Rosendale for looking after us to well and to everyone who made this Asylum Chapel wedding so very, very awesome. You’re all superstars!
