When I got talking to Katie and Andy last year, I knew their wedding was going to be pretty special. Every element of it was so personal, so lovingly crafted, so them. They had found the perfect setting (The Copper Beech Glade at Markington Hall), booked a wonderful tipi (Papa Kata), found an incredible florist (Darling & Bloom), a maker of stunning and utterly delicious cakes (Cake Crumbs & Doilies) and a fab little veedub camper to get them to the glade (almost) on time (Liberty Campers). They enlisted the help of on the day coordinator and wedding planner Helen Campbell (Hel’s Bells) and set to work creating and styling a day jam packed with love, laughter and beauty. From the bespoke ceremony conducted by friends and family and including a handcrafted sand timer and a gorgeous reading penned by Andy himself, to the hand drawn table names, surprise band performance and flash mob and the hilarious Mr and Mrs game. Add to all of this gorgeousness a multitude of homemade rustic signs, more candles than you can shake a stick at, some cosy blankets, plenty of drinking (amazing cocktails thanks to the lovely chaps from Speakeasy Libations), dancing and general merriment. It was an incredible day. Needless to say (just take a look below) Katie looked gorgeous (high five to Lyndsey from Hair Frenzy and congratulations on her own recent marriage) and Andy scrubbed up pretty darned well too.
