Hampshire Garden Party Wedding Preview << Daisy + Tom >>
Oh my word! I drove down to Hampshire on Friday fearing the worst thanks to some very unpleasant weather reports. I was anticipating thunder and lightening, hail stones the size of my head, a soggy ceremony and a very muddy marquee reception. I knew it would still be fabulous, because weddings are about people, not the weather. But still…it was going to make my day that little bit trickier. Well the thunder rumbled, the lightening forked, the rain fell in tanker loads… but by mid morning all that had passed and the day just got better and better. Instead of a wash out, I photographed the sunniest, warmest wedding of the year. And it was a corker! Daisy being a florist and artist, I knew she’d work her magic. But I had no idea just how magical it would be. From the stunning Maid Marion inspired gown (made by a friend no less) to the marquee full of beautiful blooms, this wedding was overflowing with personal touches. Of course Daisy made her own gorgeous bouquet. Tom made the wooden place name favours. Daisy’s mum made the sweet flower girl dress. A friend made the delicious chocolate cake. The list of who did what is indicative of two things – firstly that Daisy and Tom have some incredibly talented friends and family, and secondly that they are such incredible people themselves, everybody wanted to help to make their day perfect. And that it was. As Daisy herself proclaimed on more than one occasion – “BEST DAY EVER” 🙂
Seriously beautiful photographs, what a gorgeous couple too. LOVE the photograph of the puddle!
