feast in the woods << chit chat >>
Another late one this – my blogging has been a bit sporadic as I’ve been somewhat busy getting my life in order ready for wedding season to kick off good and proper this coming weekend. But a late post is better than no post. And this one fills me with joy. I’ve just spent an incredible weekend down in Kent, at a secret location, in a woodland clearing, by a lake, with a small group of wonderful people. It was the first pop up camping event staged by my friend Bec of Honeywoods Events. A celebration of wild camping, good food and good old fashioned human interaction. There was a four course feast courtesy of the lovely chaps at What The Dickens, award winning ciders and a fine range of British craft ales and spirits served by Lawrence at Virtual Orchard, top notch camping stove nosh from Josh of Guyrope Gourmet, and a whole lot of fun thanks to the collaborative efforts of everyone on site. Oh, and blummin’ lovely weather too. Huzzah! I spent at least half of my time there daydreaming about laid back, quirky weddings on the site complete with the Honeywoods Indian Marquee and a bell tent village. It would be absolutely amazing. Feast your eyes on this little lot and you’ll see what I mean!
This post was brought to you by the tweeting of birdies and the splashing of paddles.
Oh WOW!!! What awesome photos!!!
No wonder Naomi was raving about the weekend she spent with you there – I’m so jealous now! 😉

OH-MY-GOD! that is idyllic, and looks amazing fun too (love the bogs, girl). How did you manage to prepare a paella in the middle of the woods??!
I’ll soon have enough money to join you, chaps, I promise! ; p
Oh wow. Looks like you guys had a brilliant time. Well done you for fantastic / stunning pictures. Well done Honeywoods (and all the volunteers) for their splendiferous work. Bec bec – never seen you look so happy and relaxed!
Gorgeous photos Hannah! They perfectly capture the magic of the weekend. How would I go about getting some prints off you?
BTW – for Tiz, you need the Guyrope Gourmet cookbook!
