Fun Schedule Ideas – Wedding Planning Inspiration
Time to share some wedding planning inspiration with you lovely folks again today – this time looking at order of the day and order of service ideas. I’ve seen some absolutely amazing ideas over the years. Colourful trifold designs, rustic two parers tied with twine, magnificent glittery creations and elegant foil blocked cards. It’s not just about the aesthetics of the design, though. Yes it’s important that it looks fabulous and fits in with the feel of your wedding day, that goes without saying. But content is just as important. My favourite order of service hand outs have gone the extra mile, including helpful info such as song lyrics (like the time Rosie & Dale asked their guests to join them in singing along to Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up”) and the names of the key players in the bridal party (for example Kelly & Sam who did an amazing job with all of their colourful stationery, created by Kelly herself no less). And then there are the alternative approaches such as beautiful posters (check out the comic book design below from Laura & Jake‘s superhero filled big day), hand painted rustic signs made from old pallets (like the one Rachel & Dave made using left over kitchen paint), the good old pegboard approach (Ellen & Pete‘s looked awesome) and, probably my all time favourite, festival lanyards (Laura & James got theirs bang on). If you’re planning your wedding, I highly recommend thinking creatively when you design your order of service. Make it something that reflects your personalities, something that people will want to keep – and don’t be afraid to put something in there that your guests wont expect!
I’ll be back with more wedding planning inspiration next week too!
