Well, it’s laid back. It’s fun. It’s a little bit quirky. And it is honest. No awkward posing, no fakeness, no bossing around. Think the real you, but like super cool and extra sexy with loads of laughter.
There are elements of documentary photography and there are creative portraits. How I describe it isn’t really important though, is it? If you like what you see on these pages, well that’s what I do. You should probably book me!
Anywhere. Everywhere. Seriously. I have no limits. Jen and I both love to travel. So far we’ve shot weddings all over the UK plus Italy, Portugal, France, Germany & Ireland! The rest of the world is ripe for the picking.
Top of our wish list is Thailand! We would also do backflips (or at least try) and squeal a lot if we got to shoot weddings in Iceland, The Alps, pretty much anywhere in South America, at a holiday camp somewhere woody and…. at a music festival. How cool would that be? Go on! You know you want to. Always game for a lush brewery or coffee roastery wedding too and nowt beats a backyard bash.
Heck yes I’m insured. To the moon and back, pretty much. I have full public liability insurance and am happy to supply a certificate if your venue needs to see a copy.
Jen and I both shoot on fully professional equipment - Sony for me and Canon for Jen - with five bodies and a wide range of lenses between us. Our cameras record images to two separate memory cards at the same time for extra peace of mind and as soon as I get home I back those cards up again, twice. I’m a bit precious about my back up system!
We also have various bits for lighting, carry brollies in the car at all times and come equipped with pain killers, tissues and safety pins because, well, trust me they come in handy sometimes!
Worry not! First up, it’s highly unlikely that both of us would fall ill or be abducted at the same time. Not impossible, obvs, but chances are one of us will be there come what may.
And I have a network of other awesome photographers at my fingertips (all hail the joys of the internet) so I know there are wonderful people out there that have my back in an emergency. And it would have to be one hell of an emergency. I'm a mum and I do crossfit. I reckon I could fight off the aliens if I had to!
I’m not going to lie, Jen and I really do need food to do our jobs well. We often work long hours and it’s hard to concentrate when your tummy is rumbling. We don’t need anything formal or fancy, just something nutritious to keep us going. But not bread or mushrooms – Jen is allergic to funghi!
As the photographer, I own the copyright to the images I take. That’s just how the law works. But don’t worry – the images you receive are YOURS. I supply hi res fully edited files and you can print them or share them however you see fit.
Just don’t go editing them and making them look all weird and please don’t use them for commercial gain without checking with me first. If any of your fabulous suppliers want to use my images on social media, they need to drop me a line and I will fix them up. I can’t think of a time I’ve ever said no – but I do like to keep track of where my work is going and I never like to see it subjected to filters!
Funny you should ask. First things first you need to GET IN TOUCH. Say Hi. Tell me about yourselves. Tell me about your wedding. I can’t wait to hear all about it all! I’ll get back to you as soon as is humanly possible and if you think I’m your cup of tea, well then we are good to go.
You book, we exchange info and money and all that shit and then I come along and shoot your wedding before delivering a wonderful set of images that you will treasure forever. BOOM!
Wanna see more pretty pictures?
Well those are tough questions to answer. In terms of my ink collection, I have two full sleeves and an incomplete Studio Ghibli back piece. I also have several pieces by Rebecca Vincent & Sarah Whitehouse scattered about my person and plan to fill in the gaps on my legs. As for the hair… Well it’s pink & blue at the mo. Previous versions have included mermaid, my little pony and candy floss, a lovely stint as a ginger, full on yellow (totally on brand) and good old platinum blonde. You never really know what to expect though. That's half the fun!
